 Captain America: The first Avenger

What I like about it?

What I liked about captain america's opening sequence was that everything that was in it related to what the films about. Me being a very huge marvel fan the opening was very entertain to watch. I liked the way they presented everything from the graphics to the sub-titles, everything linked in well together and was done to the highest quality. Although it was just a string of pictures linked together each picture payed close attention to detail and had some from of animation added to it. I also like the fact that they used real war posters in the film adding an authentic feel to the opening sequence.

What made the successful opening?

What made this successful was that everything was as I said before payed close attention to, it had a lot of detail and everything was precise. The music chosen was suitable helping to give you a feel of the movie and also putting you in a good mood because the music used is quite jolly and it sets you up in a good mood for the rest of the film. The music is also empowering and bold making you feel something whilst listening to it. What also made this successful was that they had a lot of things which relate to what the films about and linked them all together in a interesting way. By using poster by poster we travel through each of them as if we are taking a journey and it adds a sense of fun and is also something very good to look at. It sort of has a 3D effect on us although its not.

The Avengers

What I like about it?

What I liked about this opening sequence is that it showed something from all the main characters incorporated them in the opening sequence. They kept the opening sequence to this very dark and mysterious which helps set up a mood for the films. I like the use or graphics and how they were presented to us and how they have animation to them moving through the screen.
I like how they have stuck with one color scheme throughout keeping the colors very cool but dark using a lot of grey's, blues and blacks with a few other colors and it is consistent throughout.

What made the successful opening?

What I thought that made this opening successful was that the close attention to detail throughout the whole opening, everything was consistent and it had all the key conventions of an opening it included all the right information from members or the production cast to the actors that started in the film. What also made it successful was that it didn't reveal much so it keeps the audience wanting more because it just shows us certain items of each character and this sets up a very anxious mood for the character because non of the story is given away to us at all.

What I like about it?

What I liked about this opening sequence was the fast pace editing it had it kept everything up beat and exciting because it was a constant change and you kept on seeing loads of different interesting clips which caught your attention. I also like the bright colors used there was no particular color scheme I could say that was used for this except vibrant, colorful colors. I also liked the clips shown it helped to show what genre the films where about and in this case comedy was shown.

What made the successful opening?

What made it an successful opening was that firstly it gave all the correct information from the production company and all the actors that took place in the movie. Also it used loads of clips from the real movie but shortened them down to like a second so you couldn't really see much but you saw enough to make you want to see more and engage you with it. The opening really captures the audience and makes you very excited to watch the film.
